GOD ive been thinking about generational trauma + sibling dynamics in flannigans the haunting of hill house adaptation for WEEKS and finally started writing on it this morning and now i see this post. if u havent seen it or have i think looking at how they treat each other as adults is really interesting

oh YES such a good point- the wariness with which they treat Luke, the fear around talking to Steven, the kid gloves with which they treat Nell- it’s so perfect and such a good example of how to do generational trauma WELL
